Code of Ethics & Privacy

The PRIA (Public Relations Institute of Australia) is here to assist all professionals involved in the communication industry to protect the client, the organisation and the individual.

It is a professional association that improves public relations standards and practices—skills and expertise of the practitioners in serving and representing their members (Board, 2003).

PRIA consultants acknowledge their responsibilities toward the community, clients, and organisations.

To become a member of the Institute, members must adhere to the highest standards of professional proficiency and ethical conduct. PRIA members must act conscientiously and be accountable for their actions (Board, 2003).
